After her children left the home she worked as a residential realtor with various companies in Tulsa, where she made many life-long friends. Hilda was independent, vivacious, and fun loving, with a practical side marked by a determination and devotion to causes and purposes she deemed important, the first and foremost being her family and her friends. She was a skilled seamstress and charming hostess and delighted in welcoming her extended family and many friends into her home for a visit, coffee or an amazing meal.

A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, November 30th at noon at Christ the King Catholic Church, with a reception to follow. There will be a Rosary, Tuesday, November 29th at 7:00 P.M. at Christ the King. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Catholic Charities of Tulsa or Our Lady of Clear Creek Abbey, Hulbert, OK in the memory of Hilda de Verges. The family will forever be grateful for the compassionate care shown to Hilda by all who worked tirelessly to bring comfort and light to the last few months of her life.
