Irving Samuel Fenster, longtime member of B'nai Emunah Congregation and lifelong Tulsa resident, died February 22 at the age of 93. He graduated from Will Rogers High School and the University of Oklahoma.
A WWII Navy veteran, Irving worked for OTASCO for over 30 years and retired as Vice-President of Sales and Promotion. He was appointed to the Oklahoma Banking Board and served from 1971 to 1976. An avid tennis and bridge player, he managed a family investment fund until his death.
Irving is survived by his beloved wife of over 70 years, Irene Turk Fenster, sons George (Marcie), David (Sheela) and daughter Paula Fenster Brust, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 26 at 2 p.m., Rose Hill Memorial Park. The family will also hold a memorial service at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Zarrow Retirement Center. The family does not want flowers and kindly requests donations be sent to The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Arts in his honor.
