J Roy Holder passed away peacefully on February 20, 2023 in his home surrounded with the love of his family. Roy was born on March 11, 1930 in Howe, Oklahoma to A.C. and Wilma Holder. As the youngest of eight children, Roy developed a deep love for family and others. He was incredibly generous with his time and resources. Always there to help with any project, be it a home project, babysitting grandkids or making his delicious homemade ice cream. One never left Dad's house empty handed. Whether it was a candy bar, a pair of new socks, gas money or a jar of his fresh honey, it always came with a big hug and a kiss. Roy was a wonderful Dad and loving husband. He continues to teach us generosity and how to see joy in the everyday moments of life.

Roy is survived by his loving wife, Karen Holder, his 3 children and their spouses, Randy and Teddie Holder, Tulsa; Cindy and Andy Gelmers, Tulsa; Ann and Steve Foerster, Oklahoma City; his step children, Wes Rinke, Las Vegas,NV; Jody Rinke, San Diego, CA; as well as his adoring grandchildren, Sarah and Lee Welker, Peyton and Lauren Holder, Madison and Brett Anderson, Alex Gelmers, Megan Gelmers, Ashley and Cameron Hughes, Price and McKenzie Foerster, and step grandchildren McKenzie Rinke, Casey Rinke, Sydney Baltz and Riley Baltz. Great grandchildren include Cal, Hallie and Rex Welker, Elle and Theo Holder, Kennedy and Reagan Anderson, William Hughes and step great grandchildren Arabella and Pierce Anderson.

A graveside service will be held 11 am Thursday February 23, at Calvary Cemetery, 9101 S. Harvard Ave. Tulsa, OK 74137 with reception to follow at Fitzgerald Family Center.
