Obituary

Jack Hudson Regouby passed away peacefully in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. It was his 90th birthday and he spent that day with his family at his side waiting for his moment to "Fly Away" to his eternal life.

Jack was born near Lexington, Nebraska on November 6th, 1929 to Julien Regouby and Hazel Grant Regouby.  Jack was a middle child with 4 sisters.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Lila, Iris and Arlyn Dee, and his granddaughter, Wendy Regouby Ekstrand.

Jack leaves behind his wife, Bonnie Marie Regouby, his sister Jan Wertz of Coos Bay, OR, his children, Steve Regouby and wife Denise of Broken Arrow OK, Cheri Chapman and her husband Marvin, of Dallas TX, Dan Regouby and his Fiancée Cathy Kinder of Orlando FL, Mark Hellmann Regouby and his wife Jil, of Tulsa OK, 10 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.

Jack attended Ottumwa Bible College in Ottumwa, Iowa and was ordained into ministry at The Church of Christ in Lexington, Nebraska in April 1956.  In 1979 he obtained his counseling certification from Rocky Mountain College of Christ in Denver, Colorado.  He served as a minister of churches in Denver, and Sydney. His later years were spent as a Certified Christian Counselor.

Jack began building his family and ministry with his 1st wife Dolly as they moved to Denver to start a church.  Along with his buddy and brother-in-law, Willie Lalk, he could be found ministering to the homeless in downtown Denver and preaching and leading worship in a church building near their home.  The 1960's were a time of adventure and change for Jack as he met Bonnie and they moved to Australia.  Jack had many dreams and passions and was fortunate to have family that would help him achieve those goals.  Jack lived in Nebraska, Oregon, Colorado, Australia, Texas and Oklahoma.  He traveled extensively throughout the Pacific and Western Europe.

Through his life Jack was never a stranger to hard work.  If family needs were there, he could be found at night working extra jobs at Sears, the Dairy Store, 7-11 or a downtown hotel as an auditor. Jack enjoyed sharing life with his wife and his family. He loved the beach and palm trees and was an accomplished singer; enjoying especially gospel quartet singing.  He loved gardening and had an extensive tropical garden when he lived in Corpus Christi, TX.
