Jacob Wayne "Jake" Hope, age 41, died on August 22, 2026, in Collinsville, Oklahoma. He was born on September 27, 1984, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to parents David Wayne and Mary Jacqueline Hope. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School in the class of 2003, where he was honored as homecoming king of his class. He was also remembered as a star athlete in both football and baseball, and excellent student. Then furthered his higher education by obtaining a degree in Business Administration. He attended Northeastern State University, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where he played football for the RiverHawks. He then transferred to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma to be closer to his sister Leah. He worked for the City of Tulsa for many years, starting at the age of 16, then moved into the Oil and Gas Industry as a Petroleum Engineer where he served as an inspector with an emphasis on regulatory compliance.
He married the love of his life Jennifer on July 4, 2026, and they made their home in Collinsville, Oklahoma where they reside today.
He was deeply involved with his faith, family and friends. He was a man of God; strong in body, steadfast in spirit, and lived his life with courage, loyalty, kindness and love. He was very athletic and loved the outdoors. He will be remembered most as a loving husband, wonderful father, devoted son, protective brother, amazing grandson, nephew, uncle and cousin.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, son, Gabriel, stepson, Anthony and stepdaughter, Emma, his mother, Jackie, sister, Leah, and niece, Stella, and his grandmother, Rita. He is also survived by multiple aunts, uncles, his only niece, cousins, and in-laws, as well as many great friends and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his father, David Wayne Hope, grandfather, Harry H. Holt, grandfather, Thomas W. Hope, grandmother, Effie M. Hope, his aunt, Janice Clark and uncle John Cramer.
