James "Jim" Albert Fitzgerald, 85, passed away Saturday, October 4th, 2025, entering into the loving arms of the Lord. Jim was born on July 3rd, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the youngest of 4 children born to Daniel and Mildred (Nies) Fitzgerald. He was raised in Chicago, Illinois, graduating from De La Salle Institute in 1958. It was love at first sight when Jim met the love of his life, Lorraine "Lorrie" Filipowicz, the pair were united in marriage on November 18th, 1961. After marriage, Jim and Lorrie settled in Westmont, Illinois and welcomed three children. Jim worked for 30 years at Pepperidge Farm in Downers Grove, Illinois before retiring. Following his retirement, Jim and Lorrie moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1996. After moving, Jim worked at Pioneer Village in Jenks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mildred Fitzgerald; sisters, Patricia "Pat" Fitzgerald and Margaret Casey; and brother, Daniel Fitzgerald Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lorraine Fitzgerald of the home; sons, Robert Fitzgerald and wife Johana of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and James Fitzgerald and wife Janet of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Deborah Pitvorec and husband Steve of Westmont, Illinois; grandchildren, Nicholas Wolff, Stephanie Wolff, Michael Wolff, Daniel Fitzgerald, Meagan Fitzgerald, Jessica Pitvorec, Steven Pitvorec and Sydney Fitzgerald; great-grandchildren, Kerianna Wolff, Cyrus Wolff, Cassius Wolff and Sebastian Wolff; and many other extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
