With sadness, we announce the passing of James B. (Jim) Fagan, age 91, on June 14, 2026, at home, surrounded by the love and support of his family.
Jim, the youngest of 5, was born to Edward and Catharine Fagan on April 11, 1935, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He grew up in Okmulgee attending St. Anthony's Catholic School and Oklahoma A&M School of Technical Training before moving to Stillwater where he became a proud member of the last graduating class of Oklahoma A&M College with a BS in Chemical Engineering. (Later Oklahoma State University.) After graduation, Jim accepted a position with Phillips Petroleum Company, where he worked his entire career.
Jim met Alice Jean Ebert, the love of his life, while working in Utah. They married on June 1, 1960 in Grafton, North Dakota, beginning a beautiful journey together spanning 66 years. The union was blessed with three cherished daughters, Beth, Margie, and Teresa. Jim and Alice created nurturing homes in Utah, mainly Bountiful, until 1975, then in Bartlesville, Oklahoma until 2025, when they moved to assisted living in Tulsa.
Jim loved camping and road trips with family and friends - an afternoon drive, a weekend trip, or a full vacation - photographing it all. He was a staunch OSU Cowboy fan, struggling to track down scores while in Utah, and tuning in faithfully once back in Oklahoma. Deeply thankful for all he had, Jim gave back to his church and community through hours of service in many forms.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Alice; his children, Beth (David) Denker, Margie (Paul) Kastner, and Teresa (David) McDonald; his grandchildren Tom, Kelly, Mark, Teresa, Kristen, and John; and 18 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Catharine Fagan; his siblings, Mary, Edward, Anne, and Bill; and 2 nephews.
Jim's life was a testament to love, perseverance, and kindness. His gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to his family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Jim's life on Saturday, June 27 at Church of St. Benedict, 2200 W. Ithica St., Broken Arrow, OK. Visitation 10:00 AM· Rosary 10:30· Mass to follow (about 11:00).
