James E. McKenna, 59, of Tulsa, OK died Wednesday night, January 29th 2014.
He was born to the late Jack and Marie McKenna on January 3rd, 1955. Jim graduated
from Bartlesville high school-where he was an all-state wrestler-and received a B.A. from Oklahoma State University in 1978. Jim's life improved dramatically when he married Sarah (Luan) Russi October 15, 1983 and soon started having children,5 in all, that he would devote the rest of his life providing for. Jim was a man of great faith and taught his children how to love and honor God. Jim was an active member of the church and was always willing to help anyone in the community any way he could. Jim was a heck of a sales man, winning many
awards and accolades for his work, and he was a surprisingly poor golfer (winning no awards for that). One word that would sum up his life would be "Persistence,"
even in the face of adversity or hardship. Jim was loved by many; his smile and welcoming attitude warmed many hearts. Friends and family have always spoke about the powerful influence he had on their lives. Jim is survived, loved and missed deeply by his wife Sarah and his children: Daniel James, Matthew David, Arielle Joy, Sarahbeth Joy, and Grace Noel Joy.
A memorial for Jim will be held on Monday, February 3rd at Sanctuary Church in Jenks. The service will be held at 11:00am.
