Obituary
James W. Streck (Jim) was
born September 20th, 1923 in Eldorado,
Kansas to Florence and
Ira G. Streck. The family moved
to Tulsa in 1926. He graduated
from Tulsa Central in 1941.
Jim entered the U.S. Air
Corps in 1943 and was honorably
discharged in 1946.
He enrolled in the University
of Tulsa, graduating with
a degree in Business. Later,
he enrolled in the school of
Liberal Arts, majoring in languages.
While at the Univ. of Tulsa, Jim was active in the Epsilon Mu chapter of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and the Newman Club.
Jim worked at Warren Petroleum
Corp. Tulsa for 27 years in
Internal Auditing, Marketing
and Strategic Planning.
In the Air Corps, Jim served
in the U.S. and overseas in
the South Pacific, the Marianas
and the Philippines.
Jim is survived by: his sister-inlaw,
Dell Streck; 2 nephews, Frank
Streck and Ron Streck; niece, Teresa
DeLarzelere; 7 great-nieces
and nephews, Marilyn Wagner,
Jared Martin, Beckman DeLarzelere,
Kendra DeLarzelere, Julianne
Johnson, Justin Streck and Reagan Streck.
Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel.
