James Patrick Thomas IV, 67, died suddenly Wednesday February 9, 2011 at his home in Tulsa Oklahoma. Born March 8, 1943 in Anderson Missouri to James Patrick Thomas III and Evelyn Wagner Thomas. A beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather "Poppy", mentor, loyal friend and successful business man, his passions were family, golf, coaching and sharing wisdom through his all too familiar "bottom line" philosophy. He was owner of the Jim Thomas Insurance Agency for over 35 years and lifetime member of the Meadowbrook Country Club. He is survived by his wife Donna, children Kim and Jamie, siblings John and Pat, and grandchildren Jackson, Zoe, Alex, Aubrey and James VI. He also leaves behind his loyal Westie Cassie, devoted Schnauzer Sophie along with all the other Dawgs at Meadowbrook.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00pm Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel. Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church Monday, February 14 at 1:00 p.m. There will be a Life Celebration immediately following at Meadowbrook Country Club.
