Jane Fayette Callahan was born August 4, 1926 in Ottawa, Kansas to Edward (Faye) and Laura (Dude) Tucker and died January 2, 2011 at age 84. She grew up in Wichita, Kansas. At the age of 15 she met her future husband, Charles (Mickey) Callahan. They got married in 1945, while Mickey was in the Navy. They lived in Wichita until Mickey was transferred to Chicago and then to Ft. Smith. Mickey died at age 60 and Jane moved to Tulsa in 2003 to be near her daughter, Connie Penn. She is also survived by son-in-law Foye and grandson Taylor, whose accomplishments were a source of great pride. She had a great love of animals and always had a pet. She traveled the world and was an accomplished bridge player. Funeral service is at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st St, Tulsa on Thursday, January 6 at 1 pm. Interment will be 1 pm, Friday, January 7 at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, Kansas. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Tulsa or Humane Society of United States or a charity of your choice.
