Jane was born in Tulsa, on December 21, 1942, the daughter of Thomas and Ann (Sheehan) Sullivan.  She grew up in the Tulsa area, attending Marquette High School, graduating in the class of 1960 (the last graduating class).  She furthered her education at St. Louis University, attaining a Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree. She had worked as bookseller and bookstore manager at B. Dalton Bookstores, Bookstore and More in Claremore and Borders Books and Music. While at Borders, Jane was fortunate enough to travel the world assisting in opening new Borders stores.

After retiring from Borders, Jane took what may have been her favorite job. She worked in the front office of Marquette Catholic School. She assisted the administration of Marquette and was able see 4 of her grandkids, as well as kids and grandkids of some of her lifelong friends, on a daily basis for several years.

Jane was a fixture at her children's and grandchildren's games. No matter the sport, she was there to tell whoever would listen that her child or grandchild should play more, shoot more and get yelled at less. She also would run the clock or keep the book for the Bishop Kelley basketball games. Some of the greatest games in BK basketball history had Jane Dee on the clock and her sister, Kathie Sullivan on the book. Jane was also an avid bridge player, playing in tournaments across the Midwest and attaining the level of Life Master.

Jane is survived by her four children; David Dee, and his wife, Sandra, of Tulsa, Beth Dee, of Tulsa, Kevin Dee, and his wife, Sarah, of Roeland Park, KS, and Brian Dee, and his wife, Ronda, of Tulsa, seven grandchildren; Connor Dee, Ryan Dee, Thomas Dee, Charlie Dee, all of Tulsa, Sullivan Dee, Joseph Dee, both of Roeland Park, KS, and Josh Vandruff, of West Palm Beach, FL, brothers; Dan Sullivan, of Tulsa, and Jack Sullivan, of Johnson City, TN, and numerous other extended family members, and friends.
