Jane Pekarek Wilson died September 10, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on May 21, 1937, with her identical twin sister Joan in Okeene, Oklahoma to Albert and Clara Pekarek. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Wichita, Kansas, class of 1955. Jane attended St. Anthony's School of Nursing, earning her diploma in 1958. She married Eugene Wilson, on October 25, 1958, whom she met at a dance at Tinker Air Force Base. Gene and Jane were married two weeks shy of 65 years when she lost her beloved husband. Jane moved with Gene during his Air Force career to Maine, Guam, Texas, Oklahoma, New Hampshire and Hawaii. At every base Jane worked as a Registered Nurse. She held the home steady during Gene's three tours of Vietnam and temporary duties all over the world.
Jane was both Mom and Dad, while her husband followed his career separating them time after time, taking care of the two children at home, while maintaining her nursing career. After Gene retired they settled in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she spent most of her years as a High-Risk OB/GYN Nurse, until retiring. She loved to read, sew and quilt and listen to Gene play his guitar and sing.
Jane is survived by her daughter Denise Williams and husband Don Williams, son Gregg Wilson, grandsons, Jared Williams and wife Heather Williams, Cameron and Devon Wilson, great-grandchildren, Caylee & Wyatt Williams, and sister Karen White. She is preceded in death by her husband Gene, twin sister Joan, sisters Roselyn & Kathleen and parents Clara and Albert Pekarek.
