Janet Cohen, a loving wife, mother, aunt and grandmother, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, September 5, 2017, in Tulsa.
Janet was the beloved wife of Morton Cohen, and they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They loved going to Florida every winter.
Janet earned her Masters of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of Tulsa, and was a speech pathologist for many years. She spent a significant amount of time supporting the recoveries of many individuals who suffered from strokes and founded the Tulsa Stroke Club.
Janet was also very artistic and was very proud of her paintings and drawings. She loved to dance and took great pride in her beautiful gardens in her backyard.
Her passing was preceded by her sister, Phyllis Zeligson, and her mother, Sarah Gruber. She is survived by her husband, Mort Cohen; daughter, Susie Cohen-Kaye; son, Harley Cohen; and grandchildren, Cassidy, Liza and Carson.
Funeral services were held at Temple Israel on Thursday, September 7th, in Tulsa.
