A much loved mother, grandmother and friend, Janet Carol Dinsmore Womack, 78, passed away the 28th of February, 2018 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Ok after a brief illness.



Born in Kingsport, TN Jan later lived in Washington, D.C. where she met and married Vernon Lee Womack. Together, they traveled extensively for Vernon's military career before settling in Tulsa where Jan lived for nearly 40 years.



Jan adored her family and was adored in return. Of all the qualities she embodied, supporting others, loving as parent and grandparent, and being a devoted friend stand out above and beyond the rest. Her love for animals shined everyday as a dedicated proponent of animal rescue and awareness. Those who knew Jan loved her lively spirit, sense of humor and pure joy. She will be greatly missed.



Jan is survived by her children, Lisa Michelle Ryan; John David Womack; and Mark Matson Womack and wife Millinee; and grandchildren, Alexandra Elizabeth Ryan and Nicholas Christopher Ryan. She is also survived by her beloved older brother, Donald Dinsmore and wife Doris.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Vernon.



The family will have a private celebration of Jan's life. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to their local animal rescue group.
