It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Janice Fay Todd on October 5th, 2024. Born on January 2nd, 1952, Janice lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends.
Janice was known for her warm heart and generous spirit. She touched the lives of many with her unwavering support and compassion. Her legacy is one of strength, resilience, and an unyielding commitment to those she loved.
Janice earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Hawaii. She started her career in media at a tiny radio station in Kauai, Hawaii named KUAI. She lived there with her two young sons before making the move to Oklahoma. The culmination of her incredible career was serving as the General Manager of KNTV Channel 15 in Phoenix, AZ. Prior to this position, Janice worked for many years at Tulsa's KJRH Channel 2 as their Sales Manager. She raised her two sons in Tulsa as a single mother, instilling in them the values of hard work and dedication.
Janice loved to travel and went all over the globe, experiencing new cultures and making memories that she cherished deeply.
After retirement, Janice dedicated her time to Meals on Wheels and even became a Master Gardener, continuing her lifelong commitment to service and community.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her, especially her beloved family members: her son Eric and his wife Beth Todd, along with their two children, Emily and Lauren; her other son Jason and his wife Mary Forrest, along with their daughter, Katie Forrest; her sister Patricia Todd; and her brother Jerry Anders. Janice was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Anders, and her father, Gerrald Anders. Janice's memory will forever remain in our hearts, and her spirit will continue to inspire us.
The family will have a private service later to celebrate Janice's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Charities or MD Anderson, in honor of Janice's lifelong dedication to helping others.
May she rest in peace.
