Janice C. (Warren) Averill-Norman was born August 15, 1941 in Jacksonville, TX to Ray and Maxine Warren. She died on July 13, 2018 in Tulsa, OK, following an exhausting battle with Cancer. Janice (Jan) initially retired from GableGotwals Law Firm in Tulsa in 1989 following a rewarding career as Office Manager. Following her GableGotwals retirement, she and "Gene" embarked on their second dream, living the lake life at Grand Lake in and around Grove, OK. She went on to become Exec Dir/Grand Lake Assoc and ultimately Exec Dir/ Har~Ber Village Museum before her final retirement in 2011. She cherished the friendships of those whose lives she touched, in turn touching hers, and carried them with her always. Jan was preceded in death by the love of her life, Eugene G. "Gene" Norman in 2016. She is survived by her sister, Brenda (Warren) Lough and husband, Ronnie of Gallatin, TX; Sons, Scott Averill and wife, Angela of Sand Springs, OK and Todd Averill, also of Sand Springs; Stepdaughters, Cindy Siegrist of Yukon, Vicki Butcher and husband, Bruce of Dallas, TX, Toni Marks and husband, Larry of Yukon; grandchildren, Taylor Averill, Chance Hillis, Seth Gallagher, Alicia Griffin, Matthew Gallagher, Megan Gallagher, Rebecca Bryan, Kim Woodard, Melissa Barlow, Melanie Marshall and Lindsey Butcher; along with fourteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel Tulsa, OK.
