Obituary

Jason was only 52 and in excellent health, making his sudden passing all the more heartbreaking. He was taken far too soon, leaving a deep void in the lives of those who loved him. Jason's life revolved around his wife, Stacey, and their children, Hunter and Parker, as well as his unwavering love and devotion to Jesus.

He will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Stacey Zahn, and their children, Hunter and Parker. His memory will also be cherished by his parents, Henry Zahn, Janet Zahn and Tina Zahn, as well as his brothers, Mark (wife Lori), Scott (wife Stephanie), Neal and sister Ashley. He was a beloved uncle to Camden, Mikaela and Kennedy (children of Neal); Chelsea and Chloe (children of Mark and Lori); and Taylor and Berkley (children of Scott and Stephanie). He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers-in-law, Darren Sargert and his children - Kirstin (and her sons Isaac and Dax), Zack, Jake and Nick - and Brian Sargert (wife Tanya) and their children, Sierra and Erika (and their son Copeland) and Bryce.

Loyal to the core, Jason was known for his kindness, intelligence, quick wit, hard work, thoughtfulness and trustworthiness. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending quality time with his family - whether it was a day at the lake, a trip to the mountains or beach, or simply enjoying a dinner out when the kids were home. Family trips were often planned around the entire Zahn family and close friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

If Hunter or Parker had a game, that's where Jason could be found - he was extremely involved, proud and their biggest supporter. After the games, he loved reliving all the details with Stacey and then again with Scott the next day at work.

Jason especially cherished visiting Hunter at the University of Oklahoma, where parents' weekends were highlights he looked forward to for weeks. He was deeply excited to continue that tradition with Parker at the University of Arizona this coming fall.

In addition to his devotion to family, Jason's faith played an integral role in his life. He was deeply involved in his church and shared his faith in quiet, meaningful ways. He enjoyed serving at Life Church South and thoroughly loved his weekly men's Bible study. It was an intense yearlong study of the Bible; he was halfway through his second year and was planning a third. Jason lived his life according to the principles of love, integrity and compassion, guiding not only his family but others who were lucky enough to know him. His dedication to serving others, whether through his time or acts of kindness, left a lasting impact on all who knew and loved him.

Professionally, Jason was known for his commitment and work ethic. Whether on a project or in his career, he gave his all. Colleagues respected his intelligence and loyalty, and he always took time to mentor others. His approach to work reflected the values he held dear - he worked hard to provide for his family while maintaining a life full of integrity and purpose.

Beyond his family, Jason had a passion for the outdoors, especially boating, wakeboarding, wakesurfing and snowboarding. He was also content driving the boat for 8hrs straight as the kids and friends took turns being tossed around on the inner tube, wakeboarding or surfing. He found so much peace and joy on the water or in the mountains with those he loved making countless memories.

Jason also loved playing soccer or anything that brought out his competitive nature, from pickleball to volleyball to family game nights.

Above all, Jason's life was about love - love for his entire family and his faith. His values were rooted in kindness, loyalty and the importance of cherishing life's precious moments. The lessons he imparted on those who knew him will be carried on by all who were lucky enough to be part of his life.

Jason's absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his love, faith and joy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
