Jean Ratican Arp, age 97, went to her heavenly reward on August 3, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jean was born on November 6, 1928, in St Louis, Missouri to parents William and Lucille Ratican. Jean was the youngest of 5 and adored her siblings and their many children.

She graduated from Fontbonne High School then furthered her education by graduating from Miss Hickey's Secretarial School. After working as a secretary, she joined a friend in the adventure of being an airline "stewardess" which brought her, eventually, to Tulsa where she met Marshall Arp. They married in December of 1954 and made their home in Tulsa. Jean and Marshall had five children, Nancy Schooley (Tom), Betsy Bryce (Wally), Mary Ellen Clark (Terry -the late), Katie Maguire (Mark), Tom Arp (Sarah). Jean has 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and more on the way!

There will be a rosary at 6 p.m. Thursday August 6th at St. Pius Catholic Church in Tulsa. The funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday August 7th, also at St. Pius.
