Jean Carrol (Stutsman) "Muzzy" Keen passed away at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the age of 97 years.
She was born June 30, 1921 in Tulsa, the daughter of John Henry Stutsman and Gurtha May Arnall.
Jean, known as one of the "Rink Rats" at the old Coliseum, was an accomplished figure skater, performing individually and pairs with brother, Don Stutsman, in Silver Skates programs. She also performed between periods of hockey games in the late 1930's.
Jean graduated from Central High School in 1939 and met her husband to be, Hugh Carroll Keen at a Gulf Oil Co. ice skating party at the Coliseum in January 1940. They were married August 29, 1942. To this union were born two children: Hugh Carroll Keen II and Judith Ellen (Keen) Higgins.
After the death of her husband in 1976, Jean entered into a successful real estate career for thirty years working for Boh-Mont, Rooney and Prudential-Detrick Real Estate Companies. For several years she was a volunteer at Hillcrest.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Keen and daughter, Judy Higgins. She is survived by son, Hugh Keen II and his wife, Virginia; 3 grandchildren: Cary Keen and wife Lisa of Golden, CO; Laura Stuemky and husband Brian of Tulsa; and Jane Ellen (Higgins) Coday and husband Brad of Tulsa, OK. 6 great-grandchildren: Kolbi and Callie Keen; Madison, Caleb and Landon Stuemky; and Braden Coday.
