Jeanette J. Rieck, 83, of Tulsa, went to be with her Lord, on May 11, 2017. A celebration of Jeanette's life will be held at The Assembly of Broken Arrow, 3500 W. New Orleans St., Broken Arrow, OK 74011, at 2:00 on Friday, May 19th.
Jeanette was born in Springdale, Wisconsin, on November 14, 1933, the daughter of Edwin E., and Selma (Pinno) Jaeger. Jeanette graduated from Ripon High School in 1951 where she excelled in music and office administration. On December 28, 1952, she married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Rieck, in Ripon, Wisconsin. Their first year of marriage was spent at Fort Eustis, Virginia prior to Bob's U.S. Army service in Korea requiring a cross country trip to Fort Lewis, Washington. Afterwards they settled in the Madison, Wisconsin area were Jeanette was a homemaker raising 4 children. Her hobbies included choir, family activities, knitting, sewing and camping. People were inspired by her singing claiming "she sings like an angel". After Bob's retirement from the University of Wisconsin, they spent their years in Tulsa and Surprise, Arizona working with their church, visiting family and friends and RV traveling extensively from coast to coast. She will be remembered for her beautiful spirit and voice, her dedication to her family, her excellent workmanship, and her love and service for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Bob, four children, Michael Rieck, of Jenks, Oklahoma, David Rieck, and his wife, Debbie, of Garland, Texas, Steven Rieck, and his wife, Kristine, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and Susan Clousing, and her husband, Robert, of Waco, Texas, seven grandchildren, John, Jordan, Bryan, Sarah and Nathan Rieck, Rachel and Joshua Clousing, two great grandchildren, Isaiah Rieck, and Luther Dunn, and numerous other extended family members and friends.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Neighbors and Nations Mission Fund through the Assembly of Broken Arrow or the Montereau Benevolent Fund.
