Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Jeffrey Cotton Welch, January 12, 2023. Jeff was born December 11, 1949 in Oklahoma City. He soon moved with family to Tulsa, graduated from Memorial High School, where he was a standout athlete. Jeff attended University of Oklahoma and embarked on a successful career in the oil and gas industry. Later in life he started his own home development and building company, Cornerstone Construction, which reflected his attention to detail and love of craftsmanship. Jeff loved golf and tennis where he and his wife, Pam, were long time members of Southern Hills Country Club and PGA West.

Jeff was an avid outdoorsman and loved sharing his adventures with family and friends. As a young man he flew bush planes and guided hunts in Alaska. He developed a particular love for fly fishing and wing shooting, a passion he passed on to his boys and greatly enjoyeed with friends and his wife of 40 years, Pam. Wherever you found Jeff you found people laughing and having a good time. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, practical jokes, natural gift of making everyone laugh and feel welcome.

Jeff is survived by his wife Pam, sons Tyler Ramsey and Jacqueline Ramsey, JC Welch and Natalie Welch, Corbett Ramsey and Aleksandra Ramsey, Ashton Ramsey, Cody Welch, sister Libby Freeman and Ray Barigo, niece Lisa Freeman, grandchildren Capen & Willing Ramsey, River & Violet Ramsey, Chloe & Connor Welch. Jeff will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his sense of humor, quick wit and love of life will never be forgotten.
