Obituary

Jennifer Engel Miller, age 39, passed away on July 8, 2026, from complications of epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE), a rare vascular cancer.

Jennifer was born on October 10, 1986, in El Paso, Texas, to Laura Tuck Engel and the Honorable David Engel. She was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, alongside her older brother, Michael, and younger brother, Matthew. She graduated from Union High School before earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 2009. She worked as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician and later as a lunchroom attendant at her children's school, Darnaby Elementary School.

Jennifer married Rob Miller, DVM, on November 11, 2012. Together they made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, living next door to her parents, where they built a life centered on faith, family, and community. Jennifer was the devoted mother of three children: Theodore (11), Robin (9), and Cora (7).

Jennifer had a gift for making any place a home. She was an accomplished seamstress who created quilts, clothing, and handmade gifts for friends and family. She enjoyed sewing, walking the dogs with her husband, cheering on Oklahoma State football, savoring mocha lattes, spending time with her many friends, and participating in Scouts and her children's many activities. Nothing brought her greater joy than encouraging her children as they learned and discovered their own talents.

Jennifer was a supportive friend with a joyful spirit, a steadfast heart, and compassion for animals. Even while enduring cancer herself, she found genuine happiness in the successes of other patients, offering encouragement and hope whenever she could. She will be remembered for her compassion, courage, quiet strength, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Rob Miller, DVM; her children, Theodore, Robin, and Cora; her parents, Laura Tuck Engel and the Honorable David Engel; her grandmother, Joan Bradshaw; and her brothers, Michael Engel and Matthew Engel.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 2929 E. 31st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
