Obituary

On Thursday April 13th, the world lost Jerry Potash, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a source of joy and laughter for all those who knew him.

Jerry Potash was born October 26th, 1934 in Philadelphia. The son of Martin and Lena Potash, Jerry is survived by his wife, Jan; daughters, Robin Clemons and Sharon Cash, and their husbands Rick Clemons and Jamie Cash; grandchildren, Caitlin Contreras, Alyssa Cash, Shaina Cash, and Micah Cash; and great granddaughter, Maya Contreras.

Jerry graduated from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1956 with a BS in Pharmaceutical Studies. He joined the US Army, achieving the rank of SP4. He was proud of his service to his country. He married Janice Harris in 1979, and they were together ever since. Jerry went on to have a long and successful career as a pharmacist, including running his own pharmacy and soda counter in the Philadelphia area.

Jerry loved dogs, the Phillies, and peanut butter pie. Even being a Philadelphia sports fanatic, he was a glass half-full type of guy, and he lived to see an Eagles Super Bowl victory. He had a winning smile, was never too full for dessert, and had a joke for every occasion. He was happiest around his family, with a dog on his lap, and telling stories about his adventurous travels around the world. He was a thoughtful and decent man, and his family will miss him dearly.

Private graveside services will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
