Jessica Joelene Martin, age 49, died on August 31, 2026, in Tulsa, OK. Jessica was born on May 11, 1977, in Tulsa, OK, to parents Robert Magee and Martha McKisick. She graduated from Catoosa High School in the class of 1995, then furthered her education by obtaining a bachelors degree in biology with minors in chemistry and math, from Northeastern State University. On May 20, 2000, she married Jacob Martin, and they lived happily in Oklahoma and raised two beautiful daughters Sydney and Evie. Jessica spent several years in the public-school classroom as a teacher of math and science at Bixby and Verdigris schools. When Sydney was born Jessica left her teaching position to focus on being a mom. She was active in Sydney and Evie's schools, serving as a classroom parent and as a basketball coach for multiple seasons. Jessica is remembered by her friends and family as the most genuine and kind person you could ever meet. She was generous, creative, caring, hilarious, and thoughtful. Jessica was known for being an excellent cook as well as an expert mixologist. She was an amazing party and event planner and the quintessential hostess. She valued her faith, family and friends above all things and adored all children, animals, and holidays. She celebrated life by living it to the fullest, sharing her kind nature, and finding joy in all situations. Her infectious smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew her. Jessica exponentially increased the amount of love in this world.

She is survived by her husband Jacob Martin, daughters Sydney and Evie Martin, mother Martha McKisick and husband Brad, sister Robyn Pursley and husband Scott, mother-in-law and father-in-law Twyla and Joe Martin, sister-in-law Amanda Fulfer and husband Jared, brothers-in-law Jeremy Martin and wife Kerri, Chris Martin and wife Jenny, and Ben Martin and wife Marie, along with countless nieces, nephews, and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Robert Magee.

A funeral service followed by a reception will be held at Christ the King Church, located at 1520 S Rockford Ave in Tulsa, OK on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 12:00pm. All family and friends are invited to honor her memory and share in the joy of a life well-lived.
