Jewell Lee (Judy) Bales, 87, of Tulsa, died Friday, May 27, 2011. Judy was born February 11, 1924 to Lou and Edward Brandenburg in El Reno, Oklahoma. She attended Bethany High School in Bethany, OK and continued her education at Oklahoma State University and Southern Nazarene University completing a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She taught elementary children in Bethany and Yukon, OK for 25 years. She retired to Branson, MO where she and Loren enjoyed many years together in retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Branson, MO and Church of the Madalene in Tulsa, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Loren M. Bales. She is survived by her four children and spouses, Dianne Basta of Ft. Myers, FL; Jack Bales of Kennett, MO; Jerry and Charlotte Bales of Afton, OK; Kathy and Greg Ward of Tulsa, OK; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
