Jim K Stapleton was born April 16, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Keith and Edith Stapleton.
He left this life peacefully on September 4, 2014 at the age of 61. Jim spent a large part of his youth in Tulsa where he grew up and made many lifelong friends. He was a petroleum landman.
Among the many passions that Jim enjoyed with numerous friends were hunting, fishing and many other outdoor activities. He had a great respect and love of nature.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, uncle and grandparents.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Diann and brother, Johnny and his wife, Nancy of Seattle, Washington, cousin, Jeannie Strozier-Wagnor and his beloved pets.
Jim was very blessed to have shared his life with friends Robert and Mickey Martin, Kelley Beard, Kyle Koch, Cy Wheeler, Mike Williams, Fred Butler, Joe Kifer, Les Diven, JG Gordon, Bruce Marlow and so many more too numerous to mention.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Oklahoma Wildlife Association or The Humane Society.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, September 9th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel. Services will be on Wednesday, September 10th at 1:00 pm. with internment immediately following at Calvary Cemetery.
