Obituary

Jimmye Nelle Henry Acosta, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, with her family by her side. Jimmye was known for her kindness, her beaming smile and making anyone that came to her home feel like family. She was also known for her love of watching her kids, grandkids and great grandkids in school functions and playing sports. In later years if she wasn't able to go see the great grandkids play in person, she watched them on the computer.

Jimmye went to school at Henryetta High School and played in the band. She would often talk about the highlight of high school was going to California and marching Rose Bowl Parade with the Henryetta High School Band.
On August 31, 1963, Jimmye married the love of her life Patrick J. Acosta and to this union they welcomed three children, Lisa, Amy & Patrick.
Jimmye retired in 2010 from Jenks Public Schools from a job she completely enjoyed.

Acosta II (Jody); her grandchildren: Tyler (Melissa), Sarah (Michael), Duncan (Colleen), Travis, Chance (Erin), Quinton (Paige) and Sophia; her Great-Grandchildren: Braden, Gunner, Cheyenne and Langston; and by sister-in-law Marie Henry, multiple nieces, nephews and friends.
