JoAnn (Marling) Lohrke, 74, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. JoAnn was born to Orville Marling and Launa Obsta Marling on February 24, 1937 in Victoria, TX. She had three older brothers, Jimmy, Mike and Ike, who lovingly called her Ginger. She married Charles Lohrke after he was discharged from the Navy on June 2, 1955. They raised a family in Bartlesville, OK, where Charles began his career with Phillips Petroleum Company: later moving to Atlanta, GA and then Houston, TX. They loved traveling and JoAnn had many fond memories of the trips they took together. After Charles passed away in February 1990, JoAnn lived in Jacksonville, TX and most recently in Tulsa, OK. JoAnn was a woman of great strength and perseverance. She loved her family and friends, and they loved her. JoAnn is survived by her three children, Mike Lohrke, Monica Cresenti and Brett Lohrke; seven grandchildren, Haley Lohrke, Jessica Jones, Lori Cresenti Jamar, Allison Lohrke, Greg Lohrke, Erin Robertson and Emily Michalsky; and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 10:00am.
