Joannette "Jody" Keeley left this earth on Wednesday February 5, 2020. She was born on March 11, 1939 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Helen Winifred (Straight) and Elmer Cook. Jody was the youngest of two children and attended elementary school in Sapulpa and Holy Family Catholic School in Tulsa.
After becoming employed by United Airlines, Jody survived a deadly plane crash in Denver back in 1961. She went on to fly with United for 39 years and retired in Tulsa in 2000.
Jody married Anthony "Tony" Keeley, the love of her life, and lived in New Jersey and Florida.
Jody loved animals and had countless pets throughout the years. She also loved going to the theatre, listening to music and reading.
Jody is preceded in death by her husband Tony and her parents. She is survived by her sister Barbara Thompson, niece Sabrina Hubert (Gary), nephew George Thompson, great niece Aubrey Stacey (Kyle), step children Brigitte Sailors, Christian Keeley, Damon Keeley, and many step grandkids
A Rosary will be said on Friday February 7th, 2020, 7 pm, at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 14th and South Boulder Avenue. A Funeral Mass will be said on Saturday February 8th, 2020, 10 am, in the Chapel at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pet Adoption League of Tulsa.
