Joe Neil Gross, born on February 17, 1951, in Moore, Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by his loving family. A proud alumnus of Moore schools, Joe went on to pursue higher education with unwavering determination. He earned his bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University, followed by a master's degree from the University of Oklahoma, and ultimately received his doctorate from the University of Sarasota.
Throughout his life, Joe was a devoted member of the Unity community and contributed significantly to the field of mental health as the Director of the Hominy Mental Health Clinic. Additionally, he served as Personnel Manager for Southern Agriculture, where he was respected for his dedication and compassion. Joe's loved spending time with the late Judy Donald, sailing at Grand Lake, watching baseball and playing with his beloved cats.
In his later years, Joe found a welcoming home at Montereau Community, where he engaged in meaningful Bible study, forged new friendships, and enjoyed the sport of boxing-a testament to his vibrant spirit and zest for life.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Virlus "Tag" and AnnaBelle Gross of Moore, OK, and his beloved brother, Dr. Nolan Gross.
He leaves behind a heartfelt legacy cherished by his family, including Sister-In-Law and family, Ginger Gross; Leslie and Robbie Hicks; Tag and Cassie Gross; and his sister Sherry Gross Adair; Brad Adair, Joel Adair, Valerie Adair , and his brother Mark Gross; Leland Gross. Joe's impact on those around him will be remembered and celebrated for years to come.
