Johanna Mae Showman, 27, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and born May 2, 1986 died in a car accident Thursday night. She leaves behind the man of her dreams, fiancé, Garth Björklund, her parents David and Carla Showman, her siblings and their spouses: Joshua and Leann, Jillian and Nate, Jihrleah, Jessica and James, Jordana, Jonathan, and Josiah, and niece Ainsley. She will be deeply missed by countless treasured friends who loved her dearly.
Johanna worked as a professional barista while pursuing her passion for floral design. Her talent became the centerpieces for the special occasions of more than a few friends and family members. Johanna relished the flavor of life. She loved dancing with Garth and flowers without occasion. Hanna celebrated living. A nurturer and a leader, Hanna honored others and gave selflessly. All who knew her will remember her kindness, elegance, grace, gentle spirit and timeless class. She was a peacemaker who inspired others to be kind to one another. Our only consolation for not seeing the beauty of her life unfold here before us is knowing she is more alive than ever in
the arms of Christ.
Oh Hanna, may your memory be eternal.
A memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m., Monday, as well as a funeral service, 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at St. Antony Orthodox Church, 2645 E 6th Street. The Trisagion burial service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family
is welcoming donations to the "Johanna Mae Memorial Fund".
