John Evanoff, 90, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born August 31, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Mike and Pena (Ivanov) Evanoff. John was a US Navy veteran and engineer for TRICO Corporation, Fluor Corporation, Williams Companies, and Piping Engineering until retiring in 1991. John loved spending time with his family, promoting education of children, and golfing with the Central High School "nifty fifty" league. He married Lorraine (Snider) Evanoff on November 9, 1944. He is predeceased by his two brothers, Ted and Ned Evanoff, his beloved wife of 49 years, and his parents.
John is survived by his loving children, daughter Peggy Gould of Broken Arrow and sons John (Karen Kenney) of New Jersey, Calvin (Terinda) of Florida and Kelly (Kathleen) of New York and his sister Minnie (Sam) Harden of Missouri; grandchildren Brandon (Vanessa) Evanoff of Texas, Hailey Hester of Tulsa, Jordan Evanoff of Tulsa, Sean (June) Evanoff and Addison Evanoff of New York and great grandchildren Vincent and Jocelyn Evanoff of Texas, Aiden, Rory, and Audrey Evanoff of New York, and Ryley Hester of Tulsa.
A memorial service for friends and family will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, Tulsa, Oklahoma followed by a short prayer service at Calvary Cemetery. Share memories at
