John Michael Geer (Mike), age 78, died on January, 29th, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mike was born on July 28th, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri to parents Paul Raymond Geer and Patricia Lee Boyle. He graduated from Vicksburg High School in the class of 1963, then furthered, his education by obtaining a degree in Chemical Engineering, from Mississippi State University. In 1967, he moved to Tulsa, OK and accepted a position as a Chemical Engineer at City Service, where he worked for more than 15 years. He then was in a partnership with Evergreen Energy, then owner of ESI Corporation (Energy Service Investments) until he retired. On March 8, 2000, he married Kay, and they made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Lake Fork, Texas.
Mike was involved in church leadership roles as well as in the community such as the chairman of the board of Good Will and lifetime member of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed the lake, hunting, fishing, and golfing. His family and friends will always remember him as a strong and determined person and great father and grandfather and leader in the community.
He is survived by his wife Kay, his children Allison, Grant, Jennifer, and Leslie, his grandchildren Nadia, Alexis, Donovan, Michael, Mia, Ashley, Megan, Ethan, London and Pierce, his sister Paula. He is preceded in death by Patricia Lee Boyle(mom), Paul Raymond Geer(dad), and Karen Recker (sister.)
A funeral is scheduled for 1pm on February 1st, 2024, at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E 91st Street, Tulsa, OK, 74137. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Good Will Industries of Tulsa.
