John Alan Hartman, 78, died on May 7, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. John was born on March 9, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to parents Adolph Hartman and Floy Bledsoe Hartman. He graduated from Edison High School in the class of 1963, then furthered his education by obtaining a degree in Zoology and Business Management, from the University of Tulsa. In 1967, he stayed in Tulsa and accepted a position in Consumer Protection at Tulsa County Health Department, where he worked for more than 37 years. On September 6, 1980, he married Marilyn Johnson Hartman, and they made their home in Tulsa.

He enjoyed TU basketball and football games. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, Joyce Witte, aunt, and Dianne LaFleur, cousin, both of Louisiana.3 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
