John Lindsey Osborn passed away peacefully at home on September 8, after a long illness. He was born in Independence, Kansas on November 11, 1926 to James and Kathleen Osborn. While serving in the U.S. Navy, John met and married the love of his life, Stella. They were married in Whittier, CA on March 17, 1948. The couple and three children moved to Tulsa in 1955, where John worked at American Airlines the next 28 years. John was a devout Catholic, Knight and Elk, and an avid bowler. He loved to fish from his pontoon boat and barbeque for family and friends. John loved his family with a passion and was glad to share his love to them and for them.

He is survived by his dear wife Stella; his son, Michael Osborn and wife, Barbara; his daughter, Kathy O'Connell and husband, Paul; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, John Dean Osborn.

A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, September 12, and funeral mass at 10:30 am, September 13, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Sand Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Green Country.
