John Christopher Pielsticker, 47, died January 17, 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand. He was born November 27, 1964 in El Dorado, KS to John Robert (Bob) and JoAnn (Jodi) Sheldon Pielsticker. John attended Carnegie and Nimitz schools. He spent memorable summers at Kanakuk Kamp. He graduated from Holland Hall High School in 1983. He attended Vanderbilt, Tulsa, and Northeastern State Universities. He became a licensed Certified Real Estate Appraiser after working in Austin, Dallas, and Tulsa with his two brothers at Remington Appraisal. Moving to Dallas, he started his own successful Avalon Appraisal. He also worked for Fannie Mae SW Regional office. John enjoyed traveling worldwide but his favorite was the Far East. He was a talented photographer and everyone enjoyed photos of his travels. He loved being generous to his family, especially to his nieces and nephews at Christmas time. He is survived by, his parents, his sister Cathey Colburn and husband Steve, brother W.D. (Bill) Pielsticker and Sarah, brother R.F. II (Bob) Pielsticker and wife Beth of Tulsa. His aunt Carol Bump of Tulsa, 101 year old grandmother "Granny Pat" Lessig Lindquist of Salina, KS, uncle Jon and aunt Kaye Lindquist of Brookville, KS, uncle Jim and aunt Kay Lindquist of Giltner, NE, nieces, Peyton Pielsticker, Chelsea Colburn and Rebecca Colburn Johnson and husband Blake. Nephews, Shea, Michael, Zach and Jarrod Pielsticker and Robbie Colburn, and many wonderful cousins. Prayer service on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 7pm and Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10 am both at Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church, 4804 South Fulton, Tulsa, OK. Reception following. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to Catholic Charities.
