Tony Heckenkemper, born December 14, 1957, was a free spirit who was unexpectedly set free on January 30, 2014.
Tony's artistic talents extended into every aspect of his life. He was a graphic artist, gifted debater, musician, philosopher and an enthusiastic member of Marquette/Bishop Kelley community where he maintained lifelong friendships. An insatiable conversationalist, his lively opinions on current events, politics, and music, coupled with his creativity and intellect, will be greatly missed.
Tony is preceded in death by his sister Nancy, brother Tim and son Dominic. He is survived by his parents, John and Bettie Jo Heckenkemper; his daughters, Cara and Zoe; his partner Kitty Baehler; his siblings Jill (and Lon) MacRae, Chris, Rick (and Kim) and Greg ( and Shelley) Heckenkemper; and many relatives and friends whose lives have been enriched by his sweet soul.
Memorial Service will be Monday, February 10, 2014, 7:00 p.m., at Christ the King Church, 16th and South Quincy, Tulsa.
Finally his daughters ask that in honor of their dad, you do what he did best: Stand up for what you believe, speak your voice, and write to your fellow congressman in pursuit of all things right, but only his right.
