John Robert Wolfe passed away on August 5th, 2023, at the age of 84. John was born January 26, 1939, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His parents were John Harold Wolfe and Betty Nell Wolfe (O'Bryan). John graduated from Holy Family High School in 1957. Following Graduation, John enlisted in the Army and served his country.
On April 20, 1963, John married Linda Kathleen Miller and they started their life together in Tulsa. John graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1968 with a degree in marketing. He began a career in industrial supply sales.
Being active was very important to John. He spent most of his free time outside in his yard or shop. He also enjoyed going to southeast Oklahoma in the Kiamichi Mountains where he helped with trail rides and summer church camps at Wild Horse Camp.
After his retirement while volunteering with American Red Cross, he traveled extensively to help others in need during many natural disasters, such as hurricanes, floods and fires. He was honored as Outstanding DSHR Volunteer of the Year 2007/2008.
John will be remembered by his family and friends for his devotion to family and faith. As a member Saint Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, he faithfully attended Mass and led a prayerful life.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Barbara. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda; his son, John, and his partner Eileen Hawkins; his daughter, Mary, and her husband Mike Beckham. Survivors also include his three grandsons: Blake Beckham, and wife Rachel; Zachary Beckham, and Jacob Beckham; and great-grandson Theodore Beckham.
A Rosary service will be Thursday, August 10th, at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be Friday, August 11th, at 10:00 am, both at Saint Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, 4532 South 25th West Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Red Cross or Catholic Charities.
