Johnie H. Franklin was born on April 25th 1936. He passed away on November 4th, 2022 at the age of 86. He was born in Claremore, Oklahoma to Orvile and Martha Franklin. He graduated from Claremore High School in May of 1955.

He married Teri on February 2nd, 1968 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and together they have one daughter, Tiffany.

Johnie spent his career in the Dry Cleaning and commercial real estate industries. He had a lifelong passion for long-range high power rifle competition and was one of top competitors in the world. He traveled extensively across the United States and many countries to compete. He was also a member of the elite United States PALMA rifle team and was the 800-yard world champion in New Zealand in 1995. He set many records that stand today. He also enjoyed photography throughout his life. He shared his love of both shooting and photography with his grandchildren.

Friends and family will always remember Johnie as an extraordinary gentleman with an enormously kind and generous heart.

Johnie is survived by wife, Teri, daughter, Tiffany, and her husband, Aaron, Grandson, Alex Watkins, and wife, Hannah, Grandson, Taylor Watkins, Granddaughter, Lauren Richardson, and husband, Donavan, Granddaughter, Payton Little, Granddaughter, Brandi Young, and husband Brent, Great-Grandchildren, Ella, Gianna, Lilli and Ashley.

Johnie is preceded in death by his father, Orvile, mother, Martha, brothers, Jack and Ray, and stepdaughter Renee'.
Services are scheduled for Friday, November 11th, 2022 at 11:00am. The family is asking that you make a contribution to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
