Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Josephine Helen (Paolucci) Shadday, passed away on July 22nd, 2014 in Tulsa.
Josephine was born on April 3rd, 1921 in Haileyville, OK, to Alberico and Filomena (Messina) Paolucci.

Josephine met the love of her life, Charles Leroy Shadday, at Tulsa Business School and they married on July 11, 1940. They moved briefly to Seattle during the war but quickly returned to Tulsa to start their family at the war's conclusion.

While Charles ran the family business, Josephine was the homemaker. Though diminutive in size, her personality was larger-than-life; she was passionate in everything she did. She raised their three children with few dull moments around their home, was enthusiastically involved with the Catholic Church in Holy Family Cathedral, actively supported many local nuns and priests, made the best Italian food in the state and never suffered fools gladly.

Josephine loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved all animals - especially all of her dogs. She loved the beauty and teachings of the Church. But most of all, she loved her husband Charles who passed away in 2004.

Josephine missed Charles every single day since he left us. Their family takes comfort knowing they have finally been reunited.
Josephine is survived by her sons: Charles "Chuck", Joel and his wife Elaine, David and his companion Jeannie Klassen; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many close friends.

A Rosary will be held 7:00 pm, Friday, July 25th at Fitzgerald's Ivy Chapel. Funeral services shall be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 26th at Holy Family Cathedral.
