Joyce Wilene Robinson, 68, of Tulsa, passed away Saturday, June 26th, 2010 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. As expected she passed with dignity and grace in the company of friends and family.

Joyce was born March 30, 1942 in Holdenville, OK to Bentley and Myrtle (Chadwick) Robinson and graduated from Holdenville High School in 1960. She attended East Central State University. She was married to Russell D. Robinson on June 13th, 1964.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Russell D. Robinson, two children, Matthew Chadwick Robinson and his wife, Sheri Marie Robinson, of Tulsa, and Whitney Erin Franks and her husband, Mark William Franks, of Tulsa, five grandchildren, Chadwick Christian Robinson, McKenzie Marie Robinson, Reagan Reese Franks, Ruby Grace Franks and William Ford Franks, brother Vernon N. Robinson and his wife Janelle Robinson of Fitzhugh, OK, a niece and five nephews, Mitchell Robinson, Kara Greuel, John Robinson, Toby Brewer, Jeff Robinson, and Jacob Robinson.
Mom left a legend and example of a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always there for us for encouragement, strength and support. Her continued commitment to her family will always be in our mind and hearts.


Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday June 30th, 2010 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel. Graveside services will be held 10:00am at Calvary Cemetery, Tulsa, OK on Thursday, July 1st, 2010 followed by a memorial service at Park Plaza Church of Christ at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Glory Cemetery Fund in care of First United Bank, 102 East Main Street, Holdenville, OK 74848-3208.
