Joyce Smith of Tulsa, OK made her entrance into Heaven on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the age of 90. She always wore a sweet smile, was ready with happy laughter, and carried with her an open and loving heart for any one of God's children. Joyce was born in Mobile, Alabama on September 12, 1933 to the Rev. M. Clarke and Mrs. Jewelle Garrison, who preceded her in death. She was married to Daniel "Danny" C. Smith for 54 years, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by daughters Diana Szeszulski (Jerry) of Tulsa, Gerilynne Graves (Tim) of Oklahoma City, one sister Geraldine Patricia (Garrison) Wight, three grandchildren Kristi Szeszulski, Jeremy Szeszulski (Victoria), Triston Graves, and two great grandchildren, Fiona Callie Szeszulski, and Serenity Renea Smith. She had worked many years at her home church, Central Church of the Nazarene, as the Pastor's Executive Assistant and as a volunteer. In her semi-retirement days, she worked in her son-in-law (Jerry's) insurance company as his right hand. She loved her family, her friends, her church, and most of all her Savior, Jesus Christ. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 pm, at Fitzgerald Southwood Chapel, 3612 E. 91st St., Tulsa, OK 74137. Her Celebration Service will take place a few weeks later, on February 20, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Central Church of the Nazarene, 7291 E. 81st St., Tulsa, OK 74133. If you choose to send flowers, you may want to send them on the occasion of the Celebration Service, rather than the visitation. Now, with a joyful song in her heart, Joyce is rejoicing together with her husband in Heaven.
