Obituary
Joyce Louise Waszut, age 82 of Jenks, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 in Tulsa.
Joyce was born on August 19, 1927 in Minneapolis, MN, to Walter and Magdeline (Smith) Adams. She attended Franklin High School in Minneapolis, MN. Joyce married Joseph Waszut on July 10, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN and the couple moved to Tulsa where she attended Tulsa Junior College. Joyce went to work for Tulsa Internal Medical Specialists, where she worked for twenty-four years as Office Manager before retiring. Joyce loved life to the fullest.
She is survived by her husband Joseph (Joe) Waszut of the home; three daughters, Mary Jo Dixon of Tulsa, Stephanie Crawford and husband Gary, of Tahlequah, OK, and Leslie Hager and husband Steve, of Idaho Springs, CO: two sons Joseph Waszut and wife Teresa, of Jenks, OK; Michael Waszut of Farmington, NM; a sister, Margaret Iwasko of WV and a brother, Herbert Adams of Minnesota; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, three brothers and two sisters.
Rosary will be held on Thursday, 7:00 p.m., June 24, 2010 and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 2:00 p.m., both at Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa.
