Judy Helen Klos beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother died peacefully with home hospice on June 29, 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Judy was born the eldest of three girls on September 22, 1943 in Szentes, Hungary to parents Stephen Lam and Aranka Pinter Lam. After graduating high school, she immigrated to the United States and became a US citizen in 1970. She continued her education to obtain a degree as a registered nurse. She worked in numerous medical specialties at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa from 1978 to 2003 until she retired. She continued to serve the St. Francis Hospital community as a volunteer from 2003 to 2024. Judy had a true servant's heart in the way she cared for her patients and always volunteered to help a friend in need.
Judy and John married on November 22, 1969. They raised their son, Kevin, together and enjoyed traveling, square dance club, and quality time with friends and family. She adored her seven grandchildren and she was their number one fan attending all their sporting events, recitals, and extracurricular activities.
She is survived by her husband, John, and son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Shannon Klos of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her sister Susanne Lam of Charleston, South Carolina; her sister Edit Erzsebet Lam of Budapest, Hungary; her grandson and granddaughter-in-law Gavin and Lily Klos; her grandchildren Rosie Klos, Abby Jayne Klos, Felicity Klos, Leo Klos, Titus Klos, and Calli Joy Klos of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and a nephew.
She is preceded in death by her father Stephen Lam and mother Aranka Pinter Lam.
A private family graveside service is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in memorial to the Oklahoma Parkinson Alliance non-profit organization in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
