Julia Broach
Doyle
Sep 16, 1939 — Jul 25, 2026
Julia Lee "Judy" Broach Doyle, age 86, passed away on July 25, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on September 16, 1939, in Oklahoma City to Martha and Herman Broach, Judy grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Classen High School.
She continued her education at the University of Oklahoma, where she was a proud member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. During her time at OU, she was honored to serve on the Homecoming Court. It was during these years that Judy met the love of her life, William Joseph "Bill" Doyle III.
Judy and Bill built a warm, devoted life together until Bill's passing in 2023. Judy remained a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother whose generosity, humor, and compassion defined her life. Raised as an only child in a small family, Judy embraced with delight the large, loving family she and Bill created, a blessing she cherished throughout her life.
A treasured part of her childhood and adulthood was her father's ownership of Langston's Western Wear. She delighted in sharing that legacy with her grandchildren by taking them to pick out cowboy boots - a tradition filled with joy and connection.
Known affectionately as the "neighborhood watch," Judy always stayed aware of the happenings on her street. In one memorable incident, she brought cookies to undercover police officers stationed near a neighbor's home - capturing her blend of attentiveness, curiosity, and kindness.
Judy was an active member of Southern Hills and volunteered faithfully with the Junior League. As her children grew, she dedicated herself to school activities and community service. After raising her family, she opened Superlatives, her own gift shop at Utica Square, where her talent for meaningful gift-giving blossomed.
In her later years, Judy enjoyed needlepointing, loved giving thoughtful gifts, and consistently put others before herself.
Judy is survived by her children: Bill Doyle IV and his wife Tamela of Tulsa, Lynne Doyle Thompson and her husband Charles "Chip" Thompson of Mendham, New Jersey, Matthew Doyle and his wife Alice of Tulsa as well as her grandchildren: Bill Doyle V and his wife Annie Doyle, Catherine Doyle and her fiancé Andrew Whisner, Caroline Doyle LeClair and her husband Connor LeClair, Will Thompson, Aidyn Thompson, McCaleb Doyle, Mary Alice Doyle, and Madalynne Doyle
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, her parents Martha Ella McCaleb and Herman Lee Broach.
Judy will be remembered for her boundless compassion, her devotion to family, her generous spirit, and the joy she brought to every relationship. Her laughter, her loving presence, and her thoughtful nature will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
