Julie Anne Joski, 49, of Tulsa, went to be with her Lord, on Monday, May 1, 2017, in Rochester, Minnesota, following a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Julie was born on April 3, 1968, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Joel, and Linda (Horn) Uptain. On October 30, 1993, she married the love of her life, Ed Joski, in her hometown of Kansas City, Missouri.
Julie grew up in Overland Park, KS where she enjoyed playing softball, tennis, and was on the high school varsity volleyball team. She was also involved with her church youth group.
Julie graduated from Emporia state university with a bachelor's degree in education. While living in Overland Park she taught 4 year old preschool.
Ed and Julie relocated their family to Tulsa Ok in 2012. In Tulsa, Julie was a stay at home mom concentrating on and enjoying her family. She so much enjoyed being a part of Colin, Brooke, and Paige's activities at Metro Christian Academy.
She was a gifted artist, enjoyed photography, watching all types of sports, reading a good book, organizing and decorating her home, but most of all, she enjoyed time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ed Joski, children, Colin, Brooke, and Paige Joski, all of Tulsa, her parents, Linda and Don Pearce, of Leawood, Kansas, and Joel and Haleen Uptain, of Easton, Kansas, along with numerous other extended family members, and friends.
Memorial donations may be made in Julie's name to Metro Christian Academy, 6363 S Trenton Ave, Tulsa, OK 74136 or to Life Church South Tulsa Campus, 7071 East 121st St S, Bixby, OK 74008.
