Julieann Levengood Phillips, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born June 9, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Ruth and Claude Levengood, the youngest of three children. She went to Sequoyah Elementary, Will Rogers High School and received her Bachelor's degree in Commercial Art from the University of Tulsa where her Father was the Dean of the Life Sciences department.
Julie was preceded in death by her mother, father, and nephew Eric Levengood. She was survived by her husband of 50 years, John Phillips; her brothers, Jim Levengood and Peter Levengood and his wife Margee; her children, Chris Phillips, Sean Phillips and his wife Kristen, Shannon Miller, Trisha Larkin and her husband Jason; and eight grandchildren. She was an amazing wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, "Granana" and treasured friend.
Julie was happiest spending time fishing with her loved ones at the family cabin in Canada, tending to her many plants, and feeding the birds, chipmunks and squirrels. She was a very talented artist in painting and ceramics. She loved to play Scrabble, various card games and work crossword puzzles. Julie loved to travel and explore "tricky trotty roads". Her last trip was a memorable cruise to the Panama Canal in celebration of their 50 years of marriage.
