Obituary

June Dorothea Westley Larson was born to Lawrence and Anna Westley on November 11, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York. June was the proud big sister to Gloria Suppiger (Richard). The family attended St. John's Evangelical Brethren Church in Ridgewood, New York. Many of the family's summers were spent at North River Lake, East Barrington, New Hampshire. June attended an Executive Secretarial school and became extremely skilled and sought after for her craft. She worked for Cities Service Oil Company on 70 Wall Street in New York City where she met Marvin Larson. He was quite the dapper chap and the two married on April 19, 1952. Marvin and June had three daughters, Hope Wheeler (Kevin), Leslie Seiling (Ric) and Kay Huddleston (Wade). She has four grandchildren Phillip Wheeler (Rachel), Paige Carman (Byron), Annette Black (Fred) and Pearse Morton. She was blessed to share time with her great grandchildren, Huckabee Wheeler, and Maverick Carman.
After many relocations with Citgo, the family moved back to Tulsa in 1972. The family joined Kirk of the Hills in 1977 where she and Marvin served and participated in many activities. The family was also members of the Tulsa Figure Skating Club. June, a talented seamstress, was always ready to sew costumes and glue on sequins for the girls. She was also able to fix any stuck zippers on the night of the show. Sports were always part of June's life, cheering at various swimming, and skating events for her girls. June continued being a sports fans attending football, soccer, baseball, basketball, and skating competitions for the grandkids.
June retired from Citgo Petroleum and began volunteering. She volunteered at the front desk of the Ronald McDonald House of Tulsa. She also enjoyed helping Marvin deliver Meals on Wheels once a week. June and Marvin enjoyed traveling to visit family and exploring the country. (They made it to 48 states) Their most favorite trips were summer adventures with their grandkids!
June had the BEST sense of humor! You never knew what playful quip her response would be. Her gift to all of us was never taking herself too seriously, remembering to Live, Laugh and Love. Most importantly, she shared the importance of reading God's word and listening to Him always.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kirk of the Hills, Ronald McDonald House of Tulsa, Meals on Wheels Tulsa, or Miller Hospice.
