Kasper E. Weigant passed
away Friday, May 11, 2012. Born
July 30, 1925 in Portland, OR.
Decorated WWII Veteran - Pacific
Theater. He moved his family
to Tulsa in 1964 with Shell
Oil & retired in 1982. Margaret,
beloved wife of 57 years, preceded
him in death in July 2006. Kas was ordained November 21, 1977 as the first Permanent Roman Catholic Deacon for the Tulsa Diocese. He faithfully served St. Pius X Church for 34 years in various roles including: Deacon, Catechist, Finance & Pastoral Council member. He also worked for many years at the Catholic Marriage Tribunal and assisted in the training of permanent deacons.
Kas is survived by children: Kas, Jim (& Ellen), Sheila (& Joel), Hugh (& Libby); 12 grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren.
Donations may be made in Kas'
memory to St. Pius X School Endowment Fund.
Visitation Monday 9am to 6 pm at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel. A Rosary will be said 6:30 pm, Monday, May 14 with a Mass of Christian Resurrection 10 am, Tuesday, May 15. Both services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Internment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
